A question came up about werewolf as a class and information about them. I'm going to post my reply to that question so that you can all see it even without seeing the original question.

If you wanted to stay a werewolf the entire time, you would be a beast. Once you reach level 4 you can obtain the ability to become a human.http://scrolls.larpcraft.com/threads/chapter-12-1-beast-race.11014/

Again this is not a class this is a race. The change process was put into the rule book as a safety measure so people in full body suits can still be in character but take off their costume so they don't overheat. The Lore for such things have not yet been written as we tend to not write lore until it has been discovered in game. I can request throughout the network of hosts that we tackle this immediately so that you have some content to build your character with.

Over these last six years we have just nowfinalized the rule book. Going forward, we will now concentrate on filling out the lore.

The way I see it if you're more beast like play a beast and become a human. If you're more human in nature play a human and become a beast.

To elaborate, see the human race ability Human Changling
    Must have 40K XP
Human Changling is an intense roleplay ability and requires you to have lore in your profile of how you became this way.
What it does: Allows a human to take the form of a beast character for up to 4 hours (yes, like a werewolf). The human can still use their humans skills and can't "learn" any beast or other race skills. While this ability and costume are active, the character will gain a +2 armor count per battle (does not count if the human doesn't take the time to put on the additional costuming). The human should roleplay going through the change after they added the extra costuming before going back to normal roleplay.

Spot is a natural born wolf boy beast but is basically a natural werewolf. I have been playing him as such and in our last camp event he was part of a magic ritual that use Wolfsbane as an ingredient. This made him tougher and more powerful than ever before. I would love there to be a skill later on 'beastial bite' that basically does the same thing as a vamps one turning the one infected into a beast of the type that bite them. Just a thought.

I like the beastial bite idea. But be sure not to play abilities you don't have yet, the changeling ability needs to be in your character sheet before you use it in game play . All of it needs to be justifies in your game play/ lore. You seem to have a good start on all that and be headed in the right direction. Like the beastial bite or something like it.

Several of us have been gifted in our local area with the beast blood. And we worked through it in lore and game play. We mostly use it in lore and rarely in actual game play. I actually forgot to add the ability once in a respec, had to go back and add it.

Thanks King Murdoch I am always looking for ways to more integrate the rules and skills into the role play. it makes no sense to me to just go along and play then all of a sudden come back in the next session having leveled up going I can now swing a giant sword. Better I think to get the skills then before using them have some way of roll playing getting it.
In the case of the ritual the toughening up of my character through the wolfsbane made my beast hide skill I acquired work well.
I will talk to the Host about at much later levels the idea of maybe biting an NPC and turning them or something as an idea and see how it goes.
As with all things best to check with you guys or the Host to make sure things are done right and in line with the rules.

As far as weapons go you should definitely, in fact both as role play and for real learn some basic copotency with a new one before just swinging it around.

Used to hear often " I wish I could fight hand and a half sword....but xyz reason".

    Well do you know how?
    Various versions of " no"
    Then go learn first.

Usually met with a blank stare at the idea of actually training first.
Good for you wanting to actually work it in to your role play and justify it by doing it.

We should write up the werewolf lore from 3 years back again Ralik. I know it was in our post event write ups, but I can't even find it and I wrote part of it.

It would save people having to reinvent the wheel.

    Yeah. I did similar.
Don't wanna lock people into having to do it exactly the same way, but give folks a framework to fill out more or less.
