I'll post this in other areas as well but the stress for head and eye protection is a real thing we're trying to teach people. Accidents happen and new combatants will hit you in the head and face at some point. That'll never change. All we can do it really push wearing head and face protection.

Don't think copyright applies if you are not making money with or promoting with the item.

Horns are not allowed due to them being harmful if you trip and fall onto someone, also they are harmful to weapons if they accidentally strike them.

Ummmmm where does it say that? I xant find that in the rules. Now it says dobt make big sharp real spikes and such. Horns done correctly, (rounded, no sharp edges etc) are no more harmful than many steel helmets if you fall on someone, plus they are softer than the steel, esp if you make them out of plastic or foam. It would be no more dangerous than any other helmet per say, to people or weapons. No different than a beast mask with ridged horns.

As long as you dont claim it to be that exact helm and just baise it on that helm, i dont see why not. The horn thing as long as you arnt head butting things, real horns with rounded tips should be okay. Check with local elders to be sure you arent making everyone else uncomfortable. Personally i would do plastic, leather or foam or any combo, safer for all around and easy to fix replace

I would keep sharp objects leather or foam so they can still look sharp but still pass tech inspection. You don't have to worry about copyright if you're making it for your own use, but if you sell it then you could run into snags.
