So we've toyed with forum roleplay or online roleplay for many years. We tried minecraft and other things with a little bit of success and a whole lot of fun. Now with the ability coming to spend XP and such for abilities without the need for a guardian, forum based roleplay worlds could get a lot more exciting. We finally have all the components to host ridiculously awesome online roleplaying games so maybe we take this in a whole other direction... We could offer forum roleplay only worlds independent of the larp worlds. This would elevate the possible "crossing of roleplay streams" yet keep us all together in the same community? What I'm thinking is taking Haloria and making it it's own entire world as the first playtest. We'd use the Myths & Legends Abilities BUT the characters would be built outside of the larp system and INSIDE the Forum System. So when a person makes a character, they can pick "Haloria Forum Character" or something and then the character builder would only show them those skills and costs based on that (much like we'd set up the following larp systems). Now, only Haloria characters could post in said forums and the XP values for posting would be way more because now, that's the main way you're building a character. This would also help us test the new character builder system before it would ever go live in a larp. Currencies - These can be different than the ones we have with Myths. Our tracking system can turn currencies on and off depending on character type so while in Larp, we don't want to allow characters trading outside of the games, in the forum worlds, we do because that's the only way to do it. We have the ability to make world files, cities and so much more. BUT would this be something players would want??
