Changes made from the last rulebook to this one are explained below.

Knock Out / WayLay - Must have 40K XP.

Roleplayed being struck in the head (no physical contact allowed). Can do this at any time with a weapon or foam object that simulates enough mass to roleplay a knockout. Small objects such as darts or throwing stars will not be heavy enough. Knives and such should have a long enough handle and pommel. Consult your host if you are unsure if your object can be used. A helm will protect a target from Waylay. Minimum time to be knocked out is 5 minutes. You can be woken up by realistic roleplay of trying to rouse the target.

Added to Chapter 5 and Chapter 18

Using Two-Handed Swords With One Hand

You can use a two-handed sword with one hand as long as you can safely demonstrate control. While in one hand, you cannot cleave.

Use of Pole Arm With One Hand

While being used in combat a polearm (large and small) must have 2 points of contact. Contact can be 2 hands, a hand and a hip or armpit, shield, etc. The user must safely demonstrate control.

    Removed

Small Polearm - Available at 0 XP. Must have Long One-Handed Weapon or One-Handed Weapon skill first.

What it allows you to do: Use a Staff or similar smaller polearm.

Small Polearm = Over 58" (149 cm) but not over 77" (196 cm) (If used for stabbing, the striking end must have 4" (10 cm) + extra foam) Has four shatter points (see Weaponsmithing). Striking surface must be made entirely of "simulated metal" to cleave.

    Added to Siege Weapons

    Defensive Siege Weapons -

    Mantlet

What it does: A Mantlet is a large portable shield that is freestanding. It can be rolled or set up like a tri-pod. Mantlet can't have sharp edges or present a risk of falling injury to players. A Mantlet will resist siege projectiles without damage. Acid or fire spells will not damage Mantlets enough to damage or destroy them. Mantlet max width is 72" | 183cm and max height is 96" | 244cm and needs to be covered in foam and not heavy enough to injure someone in the event it falls over. Requires two people to move a Manlet.

    Took Out

Elemental Power (+2 Mana Bands) - Must have 100K XP.

What it does: The Caster is constantly in touch with the elemental forces, filling them with its power. This allows the Caster to carry an additional two mana bands. Caster should perform an incantation for ~20 seconds.

    Added to Herbalist:

Props Used: Shops, Fire, Water, Bottles, Brew Stand, Tools, Dusts, Potions and more. Requires Herbalist materials to make the below items.

    Added

Ultralight Armor - Available at 0 XP.

What it does: Grants 1 point of armor to any place covered by the arming jacket or gambeson, even without wearing armor over it. Only approved arming jackets & thick gambison styles are allowed. Approved styles can be found here: Ultralight Armor. You do not have to buy these, you can make them, but it has to be this kind of armor. Ultralight is to prevent injury from heavy armor so we're giving a point to players who wear it. Do no deviate from the examples of armors posted or the armor will not count. See armor definitions chapter for more information.

    Added

Big Tower Shield - Must have 300K XP. Must have Medium Shield skill before adding this ability.

    Cleave Point Value: 5

MAX length 65" (165 cm) MAX width 45" (114 cm)

The largest shields we allow. Players wielding these must prove they have the ability to safely hold and carry them. Shield cannot be taller than the player when standing. Player cannot run with this shield for roleplay and safety purposes.
