I understand everyone has their own way of carrying out their work in their chosen professions, even within chapters.

But I would like to see a lore section relating to the professions in Myrium. Something that people can use to help enhance their roleplay and give it more meaning than just a way to earn coin or get buffs.

Where did the profession first originate? Which race was the first to do it? Have techniques changed over time? Why do people within the same profession carry out their jobs differently? Do some professions clash or aid one another?

Just the tip of the iceberg. Thoughts?

As sone one who is making his own armor, i really like this idea. I have discussed it with a few people, but plan to reveal what i have done at the next battle ground in wisconsin, the idea of lore wise usong unique mats as a human vs dwarf, teachings from regions or anctient scriptures. Love the idea and lore possibilities are endless. Could evem spawn quests looking for blue prints for local crafters. Get them to higher people and get them out into the world a little more rather than stuck at thier booths.

There has also been some talk of using the Haloria forum based roleplay to write a LOT of this type of lore since Haloria is pre-Myrium. Makes more sense from a lot of perspectives since lore is another way of saying the history of the place.

As long as there is some profession lore for the current age too, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I like where Haloria is going but I don't want to take the focus away from in-game roleplay and development.

I see it less as taking away from and more as giving a starting point. Since Haloria no longer exists and has been replaced by present day Myrium, how has that impacted current practices? It's weird, but in my mundane life I want to know why something works the way it does (science, etc.), but in my fantasy I want to know more of the history behind things than what they are right now.
