Hey I posted this question in the makeup and wigs section a while ago and haven't gotten any answers, so I thought I would try here. With Halloween upon us wigs are becoming more plentiful in stores. As a guy who wants to play an elf but with very little real hair, I was wondering what folks do to keep wigs on and looking decent while running around in game? Any ideas, suggestions, or real world examples would be great. Thanks!!
If you don't have a lot of hair of your own, or keep it buzzed pretty short, you can wear a stocking cap. It's a little cap made out of similar material to pantyhose. I think you can find them in the cosmetic/hair care isles of a lot of retail stores. You then can just use hairpins to pin the wig to the cap.
I do believe I've been degraded to a mere copy machine... No hard feelings though, my handwriting is quite exquisite. Back to the topic though, I have my real hair about finger-length so it holds the wig in place fairly well. However, also wearing a hat over the top is what keeps it secure most of the time. But I also believe it may also have something to do with what kind of wig you get. Mine is lace inside with a false scalp over the cap. Ramona Paerl, Thoughts?
