"A heavy sigh escapes Rachel. Julian follows her movement as she grabs a small sack off the wall and leaves. She makes her way along the upper decks toward the bow.

"Here you go, Epona."

*The mare turns toward her mistress, nibbling the bright yellow apple from her hand.*

"Ari is still out fishing."

*Rachel nods and leaves.*

*Walking back across the deck, the young Elf stands in awe of the bustling around her.

Whinches squeak and whine as ropes are pulled at and loosened or tightened. Crewmen sprint the lengths of the deck. Then, she sees him, the one she calls Brother. standing solid and strong in the midst of all the activity.

With Julian's insistence aching from within, she gathers herself as best she can.

*Rachel is suddenly fear stricken, her heart racing.. She feels small and insignificant. *

"The spirit of my Grandfather spoke to me. He is impatient. "

"He says I must find the Ocarina., before The Deadly Silence returns."

the Ocarina did not appear to be in distress, for it was aglow with a blue light and producing a wondrous melody.

'Tis a relief to hear that it is not in destress, please tell me more about the surrounding in which you saw it."

" Many a time have I attempted to meditate into the spirit realms, but for all my effort, i wind up in failure, illness and exhaustion."

"It is as if The shadows have blinded my inner eye and are sapping my strength."

Yea, the environs were warm, replete with verdant flora. We did sojourn in a sea cove, where veins of ebony sand commingled with the ordinary kind.

As I didst tarry in the aforementioned locale, mine senses were assailed with a veritable feast of sensations. The air was redolent with the heady perfume of myriad blooms, and the verdure was so lush and vibrant that it seemed almost to pulse with life. The temperature, too, was most agreeable, warm and gentle upon mine skin, yet never oppressive.

And yet, amidst this natural splendor, there was a sense of foreboding, a lurking danger that was palpable even in the midst of such beauty. For the black veins that wound their way through the sand were not merely an unusual quirk of geology, but a sign of darker things that lurked beneath the surface.

Indeed, as I gazed upon the sea that lay before me, I sensed that it was not merely a body of water, but a living entity, possessed of a will and a purpose all its own. And in the midst of that great expanse, I espied a lone figure, clad in a robe of deepest black, who seemed to beckon me onward into the unknown depths beyond.

As mine eyes didst alight upon the solitary figure, a cold shiver didst course down mine spine, and an unwholesome dread didst seize my heart. Forsooth, I perceived that the dark-robed figure was no mere mortal, but a necromancer of great might, whose very presence didst exude the stench of death and decay.

In his bony grasp, he held a staff of twisted ebony wood, and his countenance was shrouded by the hood of his cloak, casting his visage into shadow. Yet his eyes didst gleam with a malevolent intelligence, and I couldst sense the aura of black magic that didst surround him, like a miasma of maleficent power.

In that moment, I didst comprehend that to follow him was to court certain doom, for the necromancer was a master of the dark arts, and his intentions were surely as black as the sands that didst surround us. And yet, despite the admonitions of my innermost self, I found myself drawn inexorably towards him, as if by some unseen force that didst defy all reason and logic.

As I drew nigh unto the necromancer, I couldst feel the tendrils of his power coiling around me, seeking to ensnare my soul and make me his thrall. But even as I didst struggle against his baleful influence, I couldst not help but feel a strange fascination with the dark magic that he didst wield, and a perverse desire to know more of the forbidden secrets that he didst hold within his grasp.

As I stood poised to take the fateful step towards the necromancer, mine ears were suddenly assailed by a wondrous sound, sweet and pure as the voice of an angel. And lo, as I looked down, I beheld that the white ocarina that lay upon the warm beach had begun to sing a song of great power and beauty, its notes ringing out clear and true upon the air.

As the melody filled my soul, I felt a great sense of peace and tranquility suffuse me, and a sense of purpose and clarity that had hitherto eluded me. And though the necromancer didst recoil in horror at the sound, his hands clamped tight over his ears as he didst emit a terrible shriek of agony, I knew that I was safe, and that the ocarina had saved me from a fate worse than death.

For as the song grew in strength and intensity, the necromancer didst writhe and convulse upon the ground, blood spewing from his mouth and body as the power of the music didst overwhelm him. And though I didst feel a pang of pity for the wretched soul, I knew that his demise was a necessary thing, a just retribution for the dark deeds that he had wrought upon this world.

And so, with a heart full of gratitude and wonder, I didst lift the white ocarina from its resting place, and with a solemn vow to use its power for good, didst depart from that accursed shore, my soul forever changed by the beauty and majesty of the music that I had witnessed.

*Rachel nods in earnest. *

"Just as I suspected . Long held was the belief among my people that a devotee of the purest Arcane arts would appear to the last remaining Star who survived the slaughter. "

"The Star is to draw strength from the Devotee and through that strength use the songs to seal away the silence of every darkness."

"Now it all makes sense."

"My family sacrificed themselves so that I would live."

"You are the Light that will guide me."

Rachel, I rede that we set sail toward the Dorian Cove, which lieth to the southwest. Though there may be perils on our voyage, I deem it the most fitting course to discover that which we seek. The cove's reputation as a haven for secrets and magic precedes it, and there may be treasures and wonders hidden within its shores that can aid us in our quest.

To reach the Dorian Cove, we must navigate treacherous waters and contend with fierce winds, but we shall not be deterred. Our crew is stalwart and skilled, and we have provisions and supplies to see us through the journey. Let us prepare our vessel and set forth on this adventure, for I sense that destiny awaits us in those mystic waters.

*Rachel closes her eyes and breathes deeply and evenly. She drifts into trance *

*However, the tendrils of profound emptiness stretch towards her.*

"No....I must resist...I.....must......."

*Rachel's heart wavers between peace and pain. The feeling of shattered glass fills the space around her. It pierces her brutally as she tries to fight against it.*

*Brother Aeolus....hear me....I need your calm....."

*Artenen picks Rachel up as if to hover above the ground, Rachels eyes turn white and blood runs our of her eye sockets which at first was red, but then soon turned black!*

"By the moons light, I guide you back to pure light and cast away the demon scratching at your soul" Artenen chants
